Diary Of An Upset Teenager: "Waiting by the phone for him to call. Stupid?"

I used to watch these kind of things in the movies and laugh at the girls who actually held their phone all day waiting for some guy they met at a party or something to call. And in the movies the boys actually ended up calling. but not in my case. I met a boy at my friends barbeque party in december. It was really cool. the conversation was easy. no stress. Then came the part when the party was over and i had to leave. No one's really on bbm anymore, so he asked for my number and said he'd call, not whatsapp me. call. so i was really looking forward to that. and i dont know why because my friends said you cant trust any boy you meet at parties these days cause they all want one thing. but i really dont care cause i liked his smile looool. and i had a great time with him. too bad he hasn't called. am i stupid for waiting? i usually am not this sappy.

Lol, no you aren't stupid. Although, i suggest you forget about it. you know, the more you have your mind focused on it, the more it's going to seem like forever. And how much do i hate when someone promises to call and doesn't. But you never know, he might be trying to take his time. If you've ever watched how i met your mother you might remember barney stinson saying a guy should wait at least 3 days before calling a girl. This guy might just be waiting a week lol. I'm sure he'd eventually call. And If he does don't make it seem like you've been waiting for the call. And, well if he doesn't.. His loss
